Hacketten packing (Tri-Pack ball) is an open-frame plastic random packing for scrubbers, absorption columns and biological contact oxidation. An equatorial ring, ladder-shaped vertical ribs and internal struts form a body with no continuous flat surface, so the gas path stays open, the liquid spreads evenly and the bed resists plugging and nesting.

The geometry does the work: ribs, struts and drip rods break the liquid into a film and keep the gas path short, while the open frame leaves no dead corners for solids to collect.

Resists plugging & nesting

There are no continuous flat surfaces or minute openings to harbour particulate, so the packing resists plugging and nesting, and there are no corners where liquid can puddle.

Low pressure drop

A high void space of 90 – 95% means a large open area relative to surface, which keeps pressure drop, fan power and flooding risk low across the packed bed.

Reusable, corrosion resistant

Injection-moulded polypropylene resists acid and alkaline media, keeps bed weight low, and the packing can be unloaded, cleaned and re-loaded for a second duty.
