Stainless Steel
Hexagonal Tube Settler

A hexagonal honeycomb inclined-tube settler built from stainless steel sheets. The rigid straight cells give a large wetted perimeter and a small hydraulic radius, so flow stays laminar and particles settle undisturbed — and unlike plastic media the block keeps its geometry in hot, abrasive or chemically aggressive water.

Why this media

Rigid cells for
demanding water

The hexagonal tube settler is a mature, widely used settling device. Made in stainless steel, it keeps the settling geometry that governs performance and adds the strength and heat resistance that plastics cannot offer.

01

Rigid stainless honeycomb

Straight hexagonal tubes welded into a self-supporting block hold their cell size under load, so the passage that governs settling stays true across the whole panel.

02

Laminar flow, higher capacity

Large wetted perimeter and small hydraulic radius keep flow laminar. At V₀ 2.5 – 3.0 mm/s and a load of 3 – 5 t/(m²·h), a tube-settler basin handles roughly 3 – 5× a flat basin and 2 – 3× an accelerated or pulse clarifier.

03

Hot, abrasive and aggressive duty

Specified where plastic media are unsuitable — hot process water, abrasive grit and desanding duty. Panels can be made to suit an existing basin layout, subject to confirmation.
