Media is bulky, light and cheap per kilogram. That combination makes freight and packing a bigger share of the landed cost than the manufacturing, and makes an honest lead time a function of quantity rather than a catalogue number.

A pallet of carriers and a full container of the same carriers are not the same production event. A settling media order is cut, welded and packed against the module schedule; a packing order is moulded against the size and the material. Quoting a single lead time across those would be a number that is wrong for almost every buyer.
What we do instead: state the lead time in the quotation, against the quantity and grade being quoted, and confirm the production slot when the order is placed rather than when the deposit clears.
Media occupies volume and almost no weight, so container utilisation is decided by packing, not by the shipping line. The packing plan answers three questions before the order:
| How much fits | Cubic metres per 20′ or 40′ HC, and how much of the container is air |
| What it weighs | Gross weight per pallet and per container - and whether the container goes out volume-limited or weight-limited |
| How it is handled | Pallet type, stacking, carton marking by grid position or by basin pass, and whether the packing survives outdoor storage on site |
Where a project installs in passes, we mark cartons by pass and by grid position when asked. It costs nothing at our end and it removes a whole class of site arguments.
| Specification compliance | Parameter table for the exact grade, matched line by line to the specification you were given |
| Material declaration | Where the polymer is named in the specification, in writing, before the order - it cannot be reconstructed afterwards |
| Inspection | Who inspects, against what checklist, and at which point - before the container is sealed, not after it lands |
| Incoterm and port | Named in the quotation. Freight to different ports is different enough that a quotation without a port cannot be compared |
| Packing list and drawings | Needed by the consultant, the contractor and the broker - one document set, three readers |

It is stated in the quotation against the quantity and grade quoted, because a pallet order and a container order are not the same production event. We confirm the production slot when the order is placed rather than publishing a catalogue lead time that would be wrong for most buyers.
It depends on the packing plan, which we issue before the order: cubic metres per 20 foot or 40 foot HC, gross weight per pallet, and whether the container is volume-limited or weight-limited. Media is bulky and light, so utilisation is decided by packing rather than by weight.
Yes. Where a project is installed in passes or by grid position we mark cartons to match, at no extra cost, when it is asked for at order stage.
Commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading as standard, plus the datasheet for the supplied grade and the packing plan that was agreed. Certificates of origin and specific declarations are arranged against the requirement named in the enquiry.
Give us the quantity, the grade and the destination port and both come back in the same document as the price.
