Precast filter bottom

Concrete
Filter Plate

A precast concrete plate for filter tank bottoms, cast as a flat panel with a regular grid of nozzle holes. The plates are bedded on mortar strips and levelled inside the basin, then fitted with ABS filter nozzles to form the water and air distribution floor of a rapid gravity filter, BAF or denitrification filter.

Why this filter plate

Cast ahead,
laid and levelled on site

A precast concrete filter plate gives the filter bottom a rigid, uniform nozzle deck without pouring concrete in the tank, so the plates can be lifted into the basin one by one and set to a common level.

01

Cast and cured before delivery

The plates are cast and cured away from the tank, so the filter bottom is assembled from finished panels. Only bedding, levelling and joint sealing are done in the basin — no in-tank formwork and no waiting for concrete to cure on site.

02

A regular, repeated hole grid

The nozzle holes or sockets are set out on a casting jig before the pour, so the spacing repeats from plate to plate and the nozzle layout stays even across the whole filter floor instead of drifting across the tank.

03

Bedded, levelled and replaceable

Each plate is bedded on mortar strips and levelled individually, which brings the nozzle deck to a common level on an existing tank floor and lets a single plate be lifted and re-set without breaking out the whole bottom.

Specifications

Technical parameters

Plate size and hole grid are quoted against your filter tank drawing. Parameters marked on request are confirmed for the specific plate rather than taken from a fixed catalogue.
